For the past year, people have been going missing in the Valley—a mysterious scar on Katta Island that had been there for as long as anyone knew. As the last group of Hunters venture down, Yvanna’s parents are part of the expedition. When they don’t come back in three days, Yvanna, her sister Peggy, and Valley Beast scholar Elena descend to catch their trail.​

 

As they make their way through the Valley, dealing with the Beasts that haunt the scar on the land, something starts to feel…off, and something bigger than they realize starts to take over their mission.
